Gregory G. Papadeas, DO, FAOCD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Papadeas is a Denver native. He is board-certified in dermatology and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He attended Cherry Creek High School. After completing his undergraduate degree at San Diego State University, he furthered his studies in Europe while playing competitive basketball. Dr. Papadeas earned his medical degree at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, and his dermatology training was completed at Ohio University, Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. He is past-president of the Colorado Dermatological Society and The American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. Dr Papadeas has been selected as a “Top Doc” in 5280 magazine in 2001, 2004, 2005, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019. Dr. Papadeas enjoys teaching, and lectures throughout the U.S. and abroad. He leads an active lifestyle with his wife and four children, and is a dedicated member of the Greek Orthodox Church.

Dr. Papadeas aspired to become a doctor from an early age. He grew up in a medical family which was an advantage as it introduced him to medicine early on. He chose dermatology as it allows the opportunity to care for males and females of all ages, and has a broad spectrum of medical and surgical conditions. He finds the specialty very fulfilling and gratifying, as he is able to see excellent results with the treatments he has to offer.

James T Chapman, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Chapman was born in Los Angeles, California, and raised in Santa Barbara, California. He is board-certified in dermatology and a fellowship trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon. He is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and a former president of the Colorado Dermatological Society. Dr. Chapman received his B.A. degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Redlands, Redlands, California. He earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado. Both his dermatology residency and medicine internship were completed at University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, Colorado. Dr. Chapman is married and has two daughters. He enjoys family, snow skiing, fly-fishing, mountain biking, camping and travel.

Dr Chapman loves dermatology and Mohs surgery because of the wonderful relationship with his patients and the ability to cure skin cancer.

Darlene Johnson Skow, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Johnson is a board-certified Dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Surgeon. She is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology. She was born in the Matanuska valley of Alaska and raised in Iowa, where she obtained her medical degree at the University of Iowa. She completed her Pediatric Internship at Yale University and Dermatology Residency at Harvard University. After her fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, she returned to Boston as a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at Harvard University for 4 years. She taught medical students, residents and helped initiate a Mohs fellowship for Harvard. Dr. Johnson is well published in peer-review journals, has authored textbook chapters, and has spoken nationally and internationally on various topics. She was also the first partner to join Advanced Dermatology in 2004.

 

Dr Johnson loves that her teenaged son and daughter are nice, thoughtful, well rounded people. They all love to ski in the beautiful Colorado mountains. She rides Icelandic horses with her daughter in the Pike National Forest, by her house in Monument. Dr. Johnson enjoys sewing and driving her Kubota tractor.

Sean Amsbaugh, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist, Dermatopathologist

Dr. Amsbaugh is board-certified in both general dermatology and dermatopathology. He is originally from Idaho. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency in dermatology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He finished his dermatopathology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Amsbaugh enjoys general and surgical dermatology with special interests in dermatopathology, clincopathologic correlation, and immunobullous diseases. Dr Amsbaugh has been selected as a “Top Doc” in 5280 magazine in 2017. Dr. Amsbaugh is married and has two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, and golf.

Dr. Amsbaugh chose dermatology because he enjoys seeing patients of all ages and enjoys the challenge of identifying and treating skin conditions. Dr. Amsbaugh completed his fellowship in dermatopathology to become an expert in the diagnosis of skin disorders and diseases.

Steven Brenman, DO, FAOCD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Brenman was born in Forest Hills, New York, and was raised in Florida. He is board-certified in dermatology and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He attended medical school in Iowa at U.H.S.C.O.M.S. Dr. Brenman completed his internship at Southeastern Medical Center and residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami, Florida. He then followed his wife, also a physician, to Denver in 1982 where she completed her fellowship in child psychiatry. Since 1982, Dr. Brenman has been practicing dermatology in the Denver metropolitan area. They have one daughter, Kristina. Dr. Brenman and his wife love to garden organically, ski, play competitive tennis and, during their spare time, participate in three-day events on horseback. The Brenmans came to Colorado because there is nowhere else you can be skiing in the mountains one day, riding your horse the next, and playing tennis the next!

Dr.Brenman loves dermatology because there is no other field of medicine that allows you to do medical, surgical, and cosmetic treatments for patients and see almost instant positive results using everything from lasers to unique medicines and devices. There’s also the added challenge of the fact that no two patients ever look alike even with the same disease.

Jamie G. Surovik, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Surovik is a board-certified dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. She completed her undergraduate studies at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio, and then went on to complete her internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston/M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Surovik is married with two children, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys outdoor activities, such as running, hiking, and skiing. She is a past President of the Colorado Dermatologic Society, served in 2018.

Dr. Surovik went into dermatology because it affords her long term continuity with her patients while providing her the opportunity to deliver specialized care to patients of all ages. As a dermatologist, she loves being able to educate her patients about their skin and in turn help them to look and feel their best.

Jennifer A. Ray, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Ray is a board-certified dermatologist and an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology. She was born in San Antonio and raised in a medical family in rural south Texas where she graduated salutatorian. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science degree in biology and from the honor’s program from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she also obtained her Master of Science degree in biochemistry. She received her medical degree with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed her internship in internal medicine and dermatology residency training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She has been inducted into numerous honor societies including Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and has conducted over ten years of bench research during her education. She enjoys gardening, international travel, cooking, camping, hiking, and spending time with her husband, two children, and extended family.

Dr. Ray’s interest in dermatology began at an early age as she and many members of her family have had to live with atopic dermatitis and multiple family members have melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. Dermatology has been immensely rewarding in helping her patients better understand diseases of the skin, in addition to helping educate patients in skin cancer prevention and detection of skin cancer at an early stage.

Ryan Gamble, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Gamble was born in Denver and grew up in Colorado, France, Germany and Austria. He is a board-certified dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He attended college in Middlebury, Vermont, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Biochemistry major. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He subsequently completed a research fellowship in Dermatology at the University of Colorado and authored over 20 publications in the field, focusing on skin cancer prevention. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, and his residency in Dermatology at the University of Colorado. In his free time, Dr. Gamble enjoys running, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. He is currently the President of the Colorado Dermatologic Society.

Dr Gamble loves dermatology because he is able to help people improve their lives. He is thankful for the many excellent role models that he has had in dermatology and enjoys being an expert in the field.

Anne Hanson, DO, FAOCD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Hanson was raised in Centennial, Colorado.  She is board certified in dermatology by the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology.  Dr. Hanson attended the University of Puget Sound for her undergraduate studies where she studied biology and music and also studied abroad in Vienna.  She then earned her medical degree at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where she was a clinical research fellow and member of the osteopathic honor society Sigma Sigma Phi.  Her internship was completed at Largo Medical Center in Florida followed by dermatology residency at Saint Joseph Mercy in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  Dr. Hanson enjoys spending time with her husband and family, hiking in the mountains, art, travel, and playing the cello in local community orchestras.

Dr Hanson loves dermatology because one can often make a fast and significant impact on the most apparent aspect of a person’s health, their skin, and thus greatly change their lives.

Dawnielle Endly, DO, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Endly was born and raised in Aurora, CO. She is board certified in dermatology. She attended Overland High School and went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude as a pre-medical student with a B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Colorado State University. Dr. Endly earned her medical degree at Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine in Glendale, AZ and graduated in the top 2% of her class. Thereafter, she completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ and dermatology residency at Nova Southeastern University/Largo Medical Center in Tampa, FL. She was selected and served as Co-Chief Resident during her final year. Dr. Endly has presented at several national meetings including the American Academy of Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery Forum and has authored numerous publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, baking, traveling, and watching the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Broncos. She is currently serving as Treasurer for the Colorado Dermatologic Society.

She loves the field of dermatology because of the immense impact that improving one’s skin condition can have on her patient’s overall happiness and well-being.

 Ryan O'Leary, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. O’Leary is a board-certified dermatologist and a member of the American Academy of Dermatology. He was born and raised in Southern California. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he graduated first in his class with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He obtained his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, where he served as president of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was awarded the Stafford L. Warren Medal for having the highest academic achievement in his class. He went on to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He completed his residency training in Dermatology at the University of Colorado, where he served as chief resident during his final year. He has authored multiple publications in high-impact peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. O’Leary is married and has two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies include snowboarding, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking, and photography.

Dr. O’Leary chose to specialize in dermatology because he enjoys caring for patients of all ages with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions. He loves how this rapidly-evolving field provides the opportunity to team up with his patients and create innovative, personalized treatment strategies to combat all types of skin disease and maintain optimal skin health.

 Misha Miller, MD, FACOG, FAAD, FACMS

Dermatologist, Mohs surgeon

Dr. Miller is a board certified Dermatologist and a board certified and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. She was raised in Bloomington, Minnesota, and received her undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Southern Methodist University.  Dr. Miller earned her medical degree from Mayo Medical School. 

For nearly a decade, Dr. Miller was a full-time faculty member at the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and served as the Associate Program Director for the Dermatology Residency. During this period, she participated in training nearly 50 residents, and 8 Mohs surgeons.

She lectures nationally, has held national leadership positions, served as faculty for the Fellow’s Reconstruction Course of the American College of Mohs Surgery, and has published numerous journal articles and book chapters.

Dr. Miller enjoys spending her free time with her husband her two children.  They enjoy many sports, hiking and the outdoors of Colorado.  

Powell Perng, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist

Dr. Perng is board-certified dermatologist who enjoys caring for patients with a broad range of dermatologic conditions. He passionate about educating his patients about their diagnoses and partnering with them to make therapeutic decisions.

Dr. Perng grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he attended the University of Michigan. Prior to obtaining his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Dr. Perng was U.S. Fulbright Fellow in Tanzania, where he investigated barriers to cancer screening in rural communities. After finishing his internship in internal medicine at the University of Colorado, Dr. Perng completed his dermatology residency at Johns Hopkins, serving as Chief Resident during his final year. Prior to joining Advanced Dermatology Skin Cancer and Laser Surgery Center, Dr. Perng was a faculty member at the University of Utah School of Medicine, where he was involved in medical education for medical students and primary care providers.

Dr. Perng and his wife have two wonderful children. He enjoys family life, hiking, camping, rock climbing, analog photography, and rooting for the Maize and Blue on fall Saturdays.

Jamison Strahan, MD, FACMS, FAAD

Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Strahan is board certified in both Mohs Surgery and Dermatology.  He chose to become a Mohs surgeon because it combines his two passions in medicine: microscopic pathology and reconstructive surgery.  He grew up in Maryland and received his undergraduate degree in physiology and neurobiology at the University of Maryland, where he also met his wife.  They moved to Texas where he did public health research for a few years before earning his medical degree with High Honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch.  He then came to Colorado to complete his internship in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Hospital and his dermatology residency at the University of Colorado.  He undertook his Mohs micrographic surgery and facial reconstruction fellowship in southern California at Loma Linda University, where he also served as Assistant Professor of Dermatology and was awarded Teacher of the Year.  Then, he returned to the East Coast to practice Mohs surgery for over 10 years.  He has personally performed over 10,000 cases of Mohs surgery and reconstruction.  He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has authored textbook chapters on skin cancer and cosmetic dermatology.  He enjoys weightlifting, practicing guitar, and spending time in Breckenridge with his wife and 2 daughters.

Roger Ceilley, MD, FAAD

Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Ceilley received his medical degree and dermatology residency training at the University of Iowa.  He is board-certified in dermatology, dermatopathology, and Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology.  He is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology, and the American Academy of Dermatology.  Dr. Ceilley has served as president of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.  Dr. Ceilley is also in private practice in Des Moines, Iowa, specializing in skin cancer surgery and dermatologic surgery.  He is a Professor at the University of Iowa, Department of Dermatology, and is Director of a Mohs Surgery Fellowship program.  Dr. Ceilley has authored and co-authored over 100 scientific publications, books and chapters.

Dr. Ceilley enjoys the outdoors, hiking, biking, and fishing, and is new to the sport of snowshoeing.

Arwa Ishteiwy

Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Arwa is married and has three grown children.  She enjoys time with her family, especially with her new granddaughter.  In 2000, she successfully completed a six month training course in skin treatment in Dubai, sponsored by the Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology of London, England.  Arwa is a certified laser specialist by the Rocky Mountain College of Laser and is proficient in using various laser and light-based machines. She has a great relationship with her patients and helps them reach their skin care goals!

Sally Castanon

Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Sally is a recent graduate from Denver School of Medical and Botanical Aesthetics where she finished top of her class. Sally is a Denver native and enjoys outdoor yoga and pilates in the wonderful Colorado weather. She frequently attends webinars/seminars to stay up to date on the latest cosmetic discoveries. Sally learned the importance of skin care at a young age and hopes to inspire and teach others of all ages.

Jessica is a Colorado native. She grew up in the town of Evergreen. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Metro State University of Denver and then went on to graduate from the College of International
Esthetics in 2018, where she also became Laser Certified. Jessica has always had a passion for helping people and studying skin. She loves that she can connect the two in this industry. In her free time she enjoys being a mom, spending time with family, and riding her horse.

Stephanie Blue

Licensed Medical Aesthetician

Stephanie is a licensed medical aesthetician and is passionate about helping people look and feel their best. She has been practicing aesthetics in Colorado since 2009 but is originally from Rapid City, South Dakota. She graduated top in her class from Headlines Academy in 2008 for esthetics. Stephanie then graduated from Rocky Mountain Laser College in 2019 becoming a Certified Laser Specialist. She has completed specific and advanced training with a variety of lasers including IPL. She has also achieved multiple certifications for advanced aesthetic procedures, such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and microneedling. In her free time Stephanie enjoys learning about the latest skincare, researching new treatment trends, hiking, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
